Introduced in 2001, the .NAME generic domain name extension is the only one meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no specific rules on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME universal top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your native language.
