A control panel is a web-based graphic interface that enables you to manage various aspects of your hosting service. Some examples of the things that you can do using this kind of an instrument are file and email management, DNS records editing, URL forwarding, and so on. As you'll find different control panel brands, the services that you will be able to control are also different and may also depend on the characteristics that the web hosting company offers. For example, you may have a specific option in one control panel and not in another, or it could take additional steps to do some task. Such an instrument gives you the option to use a point-and-click interface instead of entering commands with complex syntax within a command line. Though some users would prefer the latter option, the vast majority of users welcome the easier level of administration which a control panel can provide.
Multiple Control Panels in Dedicated Servers
If you get one of the dedicated server packages that we sell, you'll find as many as three different control panels on the signup page. The first one is our Hepsia Control Panel, which will enable you to control the whole server as a single account, so you'll find all your domains, emails, databases, invoices and support tickets in one place. The other two, cPanel and DirectAdmin, will allow you to create multiple accounts and if you get the server with any of them, you'll also be provided with full root access. Both of the control panels will also give you the opportunity to launch your own web hosting company since they have a reseller level which will allow you to create hosting plans and take care of multiple server-side settings. Hepsia is the right choice when you want everything to be easy, while cPanel and DirectAdmin are excellent if you want to have additional control and in case you have some experience in maintaining your own server.
